SYSTEMS for Conveyor Belts
General System Description.
The conveyor system is fully self-contained and encased in wear resistant plastic. No cabinets are required, just connect 9-36Vdc and your choice of output – options include: 4-20ma (instantaneous kg of magnetite within the coil), 0-10volts, Modbus, frequency modulation and storage to SD card.
Installation
The coil is clipped apart and placed around the conveyor belt and secured to a non-magnetite base. As the coil clips apart, there is no need to cut the conveyor to install. Calibration is handled by the PLC contained in the electronics enclosure.
Applications include:
- Low cost measurement of mass of magnetite on a conveyor belt to allow multiple installations
- Monitoring of tonnes of magnetite
- Monitoring grade on the belt in iron ore mining
- Mill control (magnetic content is often proportion to hardness)
