GENERAL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Generally the measurement systems are a benchtop device able to measure sample volumes of microlitres to decilitres.
The magnetic manipulation systems either use air cored DC magnets or rare earth magnets. Rare earth magnets are limited to use at temperatures of less than 80°C.
Applications include:
- Blood - Ferrohemoglobin (without oxygen attached) is weakly paramagneticOxyhemoglobin is non-magnetic
- Nano particles to control movement and manipulation of magnetic micro- and nanostructures using magnetic forces in applications in biomedicine, diagnostics, and immunology
- Nano particles for density control in industrial laboratories.
